The Penderwicks at Point Mouette

The Penderwick family was being split apart, Mr.Penderwick, Ithana, and Ben were going to England. Rosalind was going to New Jersey with her best friend Anna, and so that left Skye, Jane, and Batty and Hound (their dog) to go to Maine with Aunt Claire. But not all was bad, the Penderwicks’ very close friend Jefferey Tifton was coming with them, after much arguing with his mother and his stepfather, Dexter who no Penderwick likes. Also Jane might get inspiration for her next book, but Batty can’t live five minutes without Rosalind.  In Maine, Jane falls in love with a skateboarder, Dominic, who Skye hates, Batty discovers she might have musical talent, which is a miracle in the Penderwick family, and Skye struggles being OAP (oldest available Penderwick.) The three girls and Jefferey meet a new friend Alec who loves music just as much as Jefferey does, and also looks like Jefferey, but has a big secret. Batty also finds a friend in Mercedes, Dominic’s sister, which is awkward after Dominic breaks Jane’s heart. When Aunt Claire gets injured and Jane becomes love crazy and all Batty talks about is a piano, Skye feels like she might have a melt down, but what can you expect from the Penderwicks?

My Thoughts: I love the Penderwicks at Point Mouette, but I love the first book better, (this one is the third but I like it better than the second.) But I do wish all the Penderwicks were together. I do love the cover of this Penderwick book, and I give it four out of five stars.
